I thoroughly enjoyed this book, rich in detail without bogging down the mind of the reader. With settings between multiple countries, the author did an astounding job with bringing the settings and sensory detail to life.Even more enjoyable for me was that the book, though depicting a forbidden romance two characters struggled to overcome, was a clean read. I didn't have to flip pages to bypass sexual content I had no interest in reading.
The characters weigh so heavily upon my mind that I bought the second book. I look forward to seeing whether that book holds my attention as deeply as the first book of the series. If it does, I know I'll be back to read the remaining book/s in the series.

Phenomenal imagery and potent interplay that left my heart raising to my throat many times with the realism. Had to put it down and regroup myself several times throughout the novel. Intense!
I felt the tug Clair had, with pregnancy, giving serious thoughts of what to do and the feelings for the father. The fathers loss all around. I lost interest in the family who wanted a baby, in my eagerness to get back to Clair.
did not like the way two different stories were put together. Each had nothing to do with the other, and all of the sudden the first one just stopped and the went on to the other. I thought it was printed wrong. Sorry, I just did not enjoy.
This was a interesting read. This book had a lot of twists and turns. The second part of the story is a little confusing going from Sam to Jules; it was like reading two stories at the same time.
Story was not easy to follow with a glass of wine! LOL Had to start over without. The story line is compelling and keeps your attention. Lots of angles to keep up with. I have to say the cliffhanger in the end is a bummer! Over all great strong story.
This book is just pathetic, it reads like a 12 year old wrote it. The writer needs to find a new hobby!!! Makes you want your money and time back!
The two tales told in this story are individually captivating but without knowing their connection, it feels like just that - alternating between two unrelated stories. I guess it will all make sense in the other installment of this series, but that said, it was beautifully written.
